This policy explains what Mentigo ("we", "us") collects, why, and the control you have over it. We aim to collect as little as we need and to keep it safe. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we honour the access/deletion rights described below regardless of where you live.

We don't sell your data. We share it only with services that help us run Mentigo:
Your Mentigo is powered by AI. Messages you send are processed to generate a response. Please don't share information you wouldn't want processed this way. The AI is not a human and its replies are general support, not professional advice.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our live systems (see below). Backups, if any, age out over time.
You can also email us to make any of these requests.
Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authority if a serious data breach occurs, as required by law.
Mentigo is not for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16; if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
We're based in Australia and our providers may process data in other countries (e.g. the US). By using Mentigo you consent to this transfer, handled with appropriate safeguards.
We'll update this policy as the app evolves and note the "last updated" date above.
